The new Mitsubishi Outlander Sport adds a number of exterior and interior enhancements for 2016. The updated Mitsubishi Outlander Sport enters the new model year with a revamped exterior and a number of interior improvements. Available in ES, SE, SEL and GT trim levels, the standard base engine for the Outlander Sport is 2.0L four-cylinder engine. Torque is communicated to the street through a five-speed manual gearbox. The more powerful 2.4L MIVEC four-cylinder engine comes standard with the SE, SEL and GT trim levels.

The automaker’s INVECS – III – CVT (continuously variable) automatic transmission is standard with the 2.4L four-cylinder engine and optional with the base 2.0L four-cylinder motor. The continuously-variable transmission (CVT) provides better response, performance and improved fuel economy to keep the Outlander Sport performing at its high standards with optimal fuel economy ratings.
